Profile プロフィール

I am originally from Adelaide, Australia, where, under the guidance of two scientists I highly admire, Dr. Keith Shearwin and Dr. Ian Dodd, I learned the fundamentals of biochemistry in a lab that studies transcriptional regulation in bacteriophage. This basic scientific training in molecular biology continues to provide the foundation for my current studies of human immunology, where I have been lucky to work with Prof. James Wing. As we endeavour for new horizons in our understanding of adaptive immunity, I am greatly appreciative of our clinical collaborators at the University of Osaka and beyond for facilitating the pursuit of bench-to-bedside research that is both fundamental in nature and we hope, will improve the lives of patients in the future.
