研究成果のポイント
- 日本のDPCデータを使って、ヘルペス脳炎に対する抗ヘルペスウイルス薬の有効性について検証を行いました。
- この結果、ヘルペス脳炎に対して入院初日に抗ヘルペスウイルス薬の投与を行うと、入院2日目以降に投与を行ったよりも、死亡、神経学的予後の悪化が少なかった、ということがわかりました。
- ヘルペス脳炎を疑った場合に、できる限り速やかに抗ヘルペスウイルス薬を投与するべきであるという考え方を支持する結果となりました。
